In
this section you will find information in reference to the
Barberton-South Summit and Ohio Safety Council for your consideration.
A new enrollment form MUST be filled
out and returned to our office if you should decide to join
the South Summit Safety Council. As a member of the Barberton-South
Summit Chamber of Commerce, there is no fee involved to join
the safety council. You will also find a link to a semi-annual
report so that you may view and become familiar with what
a semi-annual report that we ask our safety council members
to fill out twice a year. These forms are sent to our safety
council once in January and once in June. We fill out the
entire top portion for you and all that you would be required
to do is fill in the date of the most recent lost time injury
or illness, average number of employees, total worked hours
and the number of days missed due to lost time injury/illness.
By filling out the semi-annual reports, your place of business
will qualify for awards and possibly other incentives/discounts
offered by the BWC and your Chamber of Commerce.
Our
safety council is making a lot of great changes to improve
our council and make it as beneficial to our members as possible.
As a Safety Council member, you will automatically begin to
receive our monthly Safety Council newsletter for you to browse
through so you can become more familiar with our program and
what we offer to our members. The newsletter will also
inform you of all upcoming meetings.
The
meetings are currently held at Peppe & Luigi's Restaurant
located at 240 5 th St. S.E. in Barberton ; please call the
Chamber office for meeting dates and times. You will find
more information about the speaker in the newsletter. We hope
